FAQ - Support
I have forgotten my password, how do I change it?
We don't keep a copy of your passwords, Contact us to reset any passwords
you forget.
Does my email work on my Mac?
This email system is platform independent and works with Windows and Mac
mail programs that support POP3 and IMAP.
I am setting up my email, what are my server settings?
Use the following settings when configuring your email:
POP3 Server = mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Server = mail.yourdomain.com
username = <your email address> e.g. me@yourdomain.com
password = <your password>
I get SMTP errors, not authenticated or cannot connect to server?
Two things to check are:
1. If you have problems using the default port 25, you can change the
port to 587 for the SMTP server. This is an alternative port that
some ISP's allow traffic through when they are blocking port 25.
2. By design, the mail server works as follows; When you check your messages
the POP3 server will authenticate you with your email/password combination.
Once connected your session will stay active for 30 mins and you
can send messages. If you don't hit "send/receive" for 30 mins you
will need to check for incoming messages again before sending. NOTE
- Most people set their email to check every 3-5 mins and this will
keep your session open all day.
I am using a Blackberry or similar remote device, how do I set it up?
Use the same settings as setting up a regular mail client.
Do I have any anti-spam filtering, what if someone says they
sent a message and I never received it?
We have a server side spam and anti-virus filter. It is an open source
tool that we "train" to block messages. This should prevent most
common spam.
If someone claims to have sent a message and it is not being received,
we do log all activity coming into the mail servers. As long as it
has reached us, we can search to see if anything has been blocked
and deleted into our spam filter.
Its always a good idea to make sure someone has your email address spelled
correctly, and it is worth sending a test message to them so they
can simply "reply" to it.
